Good morning. The Grammys are next Sunday. To celebrate, we're identifying recipes that match the aura of this year's most celebrated artists.
Sabrina Carpenter With six nominations at this year's awards, Sabrina is slated to join Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, and Olivia Rodrigo in the pantheon of "Disney alums turned Grammy-winning musicians that my mother just doesn't get." However, bypassing my mom's approval isn't necessarily a bad thing. She's also the only living person who's indifferent to this community favorite: one-pot kale & quinoa pilaf.
Kendrick Lamar The California native's incendiary track, "Not Like Us," is up for five awards—including Best Music Video, Record Of The Year, and Song Of The Year. As for what differentiates record and song, I don't know. But I can tell you this: Some of the record's song's anthem's accompanying video was filmed outside of beloved Compton restaurant, Tam's Burgers—which reminds me that I should make Emma Laperruque's turkey & mushroom burgers sometime this week.
Billie Eilish If you count this year's seven nominations, Billie Eilish has now had the chance to win 32 Grammys. She turned 23 in December. This level of prodigious output is inconceivable for most people. Luckily, I can relate: When I was in college, I tripled the recipe for Heather's honey mustard chicken wings and received, at least, three dozen "Yo, can you make those wings again?" awards from my peers. |
