Good morning. It's Saint Patrick's Day. Beer's green, cabbage is boiled, and coffee's better. Whether you're a college kid staring down a verdant pitcher or someone pouring their heart, soul, and Catholic guilt into overcooked corned beef—today's ripe for celebrating however you see fit. For us, that means committing to the bit, buying the food coloring, and making our boozy Shamrock Shake. |

If a mint flavored, Whiskey-infused shake topped with homemade whipped cream isn't your thing, you should a) re-read that description and b) consider making one (or all) of our other Guinness-adjacent recipes. |

It's Women Are Amazing Month at Food52, and we're celebrating cool women from our Shop, Test Kitchen, and beyond. This week, we're highlighting Josephine Heilpern, founder and owner of Brooklyn-based ceramics and home goods brand Recreation Center. Fun fact: Josephine's mugs are the most coveted coffee drinking vessel at Food52 HQ. (When they briefly disappeared, we organized a team-wide search party. Thankfully, they were found.) You can shop all of our women makers or read about women we love from the Food52 multiverse. |

As for why we love these mugs so much, well, there are two ways you can see for yourself. First, you can watch our tour of Josephine's studio—where the mugs are prominently featured throughout the video. Second, you could work from our office and experience the mugs yourself. That's right—this April we're launching Work From Our Home—a program allowing community members to enjoy the beautiful view, workspace, and coffee mugs at Food52 HQ. If you're in NYC and looking to cook a proper Irish Breakfast, Kiernan, our Manager of Creative Operations, has you covered. "I grew up eating an Irish Breakfast (also called a "fry") when my family was in town. The good, the bad, the special, the ordinary—it just meant we were together. My grandparents are from Dublin and moved to Queens where my Mom grew up—and in Sunnyside there's a store where we have always gotten our ingredients from...oh and a lot of Irish chocolate too. It's called The Butcher Block, and it has the Irish essentials: taytos, flakes, club orange, black/white pudding, rashers, Brennan's batch and really everything else you can imagine. There, a casual conversation can be had with the Irish butcher about how to cook a proper fry, as he wraps your items in wax paper. It will always be the place I go when I want to think of family, and when I just want to make a really, really good breakfast. |

That's a wrap for this week! See you next Sunday for more chatter around recipes, remarkable women, and lots more. 👋 💙 |
