Good morning. In regards to food, Thanksgiving's greatest gift is that it creates the year's only four-day stretch (Thursday to Sunday) where it's perfectly acceptable to begin your morning with a plate of something delicious and a glass of something strong-ish. Here's my plan to make the most of the year's best brunch weekend:
Thursday: Something light and energizing.
Like yogurt topped with Nekisia Davis's olive oil & maple granola (which you'll have made days in advance) and a couple of Rick Martinez Paloma-style mimosas.
Friday: Thanksgiving extended.
Wake up, head straight to the fridge, and locate the horseradish Bloody Mary mix that you batched earlier in the week. Make a drink. Cue up "Something To Talk About." Tackle these Thanksgiving leftover breakfast burritos from community member Fiveandspice. And replay "Something To Talk About."
Saturday: Brunch that looks like brunch.
So, these crowd-friendly oven scrambled eggs, a few loaves worth of the indomitable Bell-less, Whistle-less, Damn Good French Toast, and—to keep things fresh—a round of cold brew Negronis.
Sunday: Get rid of everything in your fridge.
Via frittata. Just follow this Amanda blueprint and swap the ingredients with whatever leftovers you've got lying around. Oh, and instead of a cocktail, maybe try the famed Magical Coffee.
