Good morning. We've hit summer's home stretch—a period when friends resurface, commitments remain minimal, and your thirst to make the most of warm, long nights becomes insatiable. In other words, it's the perfect time to have a sleepover. Especially a planned one—where you and your friends and your friends' friends awake to the following: 1. Large Format Eggs. The morning after an extended evening calls for sustenance and convenience. These oven scrambled eggs from Cory Baldwin provide both while using only a single piece of cookware. 2. Something covered in powdered sugar. A strawberry Dutch baby, apple cinnamon French toast, pistachio Belgian waffles. Really anything with a name that includes "European country + carb" will do. 3. Spicy Tomato Juice Over Ice. Maybe it's this Zingy Michelada. Perhaps it's a horseradish Bloody Mary. Could it be sangrita and tequila shot? Responsibly, of course it could be. |

A few weeks ago, as part of our That's Cool. Who Made It? series, I got to spend 48 hours with the team behind Zinala—a Brooklyn-based baking supply company built with a single goal in mind: help the best bakers make even better bread. The shoot—which included visiting one of the best French bakeries in New York City (they make bread for Le Bernardin!), nine thousand jokes, and a beer (or three)—was the most fun I've had working at Food52. The result? A video that's fun, informative, and liable to transport you back to your early 20s. I hope you watch the video. To do so, click here. |

| Sam Sifton's Momofuku Bo Ssäm is my favorite all-day recipe "project." Sure, it requires a touch of focus and additional grocery shopping, but the flavor of this shreddable, shareable pork is worth the squeeze. Plus, it's especially easy, since you can watch Amanda recreate the recipe with Sam by clicking here. |
